My Story
Therapy can help us resolve issues and concerns, heal long-standing wounds, and find a sense of joy, peace and fulfillment that may seem to be missing from our lives. I believe you have the power and wisdom to make the changes you are seeking in your life. I offer a warm, engaging style and a non-judgmental environment where we can work together to more deeply understand the challenges you are facing, and how to tap into the strengths and guidance you already possess.
I believe partnership is about completion and growth, and we experience happiness and fulfillment as a result of this work. Are you in a good relationship that you would like to make even better by building a deeper connection, breaking through and resolving conflict gridlock, and fostering respect, closeness and affection? Or, are you struggling in your relationship, trying to decide whether to stay or go? Wherever you are, this is a safe place to discuss your options.
I hold a Master’s degree in Education and a Master’s degree in Couples, Marriage and Family Therapy. I have worked for the past twenty-five years in the fields of counseling, conflict management and mediation, as well as leadership coaching and Organization Development. Principle among my certifications are Emotional Intelligence coaching, and Master Leader accreditation by the Gottman Institute. John Gottman has been conducting ground-breaking research and has successfully provided couples therapy and couples workshops for the past 30 years. My approach when working with couples is based on this research and therapeutic foundation.
I was raised in Arizona and have called Portland home for the past 15 years. I love living in such a spectacular part of the country and exploring all the great food, fun events, and beautiful scenery that the northwest has to offer.
